Can't read perspecives on Web2.0

Can't do this at home - prefer paper to read from and can't (and wont) print at home - no ink in the cartridge at this time and it costs me money to replace it. Guess it will have to wait till one day when I have some spare/free time (ha, ha) at work

Claiming my blog

Clicked on the link to see what this is only to find I don't have permission to view the page!

what I've been using my blog for

I look for stuff at home that I can use in my programmes in the library - instead of emailing the link I now can put a link on here - I have found some interesting children's stuff and added the link - as yet have not had time to open the link at work though.

Technorati tag generator

Had a look - it talks about things which have no meaning to me whatsoever - what is a tag generator in the English I learnt at school when things were taught properly? I've looked in all the tabs and I am still no wiser. If I can't make head nor tail of the information what possible use is it to me? And, as you can see from the time, I am working from home again.

Kelly's email

Seems to me if you've finished all this you have far too much time on your hands - some of us have a work load totally prohibitive doing even so much as opening their blog at work and are reduced to doing stuff from home - that totals taking work home and ..........

Delicious

I have created a Delicious account and created my bookmark file at home once again. I will try and do my work ones next week - time permitting - and speed of the computers as well of course. Now I have wasted too much of my weekend on this and will stop now.

Sandbox play

Had a play in the sandbox - just to share how much time I spent playing in sandpits as a child - that was one of my favourite things to do and I spend ages creating whole new worlds in my imagination - kids today don't seem to have this range of imaginatory skills as everything is on some sort of screen with someone else's imagination ideas in front of them! Anyway I digress, I added my favourite, which I was surprised was not alreay there given the type of society we live in, and added my blog to the fav. blogs list - nothing to it - been there done that.......

Wkis - my thoughts on the examples shown

had a look through the examples - at home in my own time yet again. Thought they were supposed to be vibrant and interesting - thought the formats tended to be dull and uninspired. Who knows the relevance - cant see any that I can use at this time

Snapfish and Skype

I use Snapfish to store my photos - I have albums which I can share with anyone I choose, and the option to allow them to re-share them as well. Good for library based activities. Skype is good for calling family overseas as it is a lot cheaper. Sound quality is not the best and the video gives lots of problems whan trying to talk to someone.

Rollyo

Back to doing this at home - should be watching the A League first game! Decided that Rollyo is not for me - easy site to navigate and find out about tho

Flicr???? spelling????

had a look at this but as I use Snapfish for all my photo needs I can't see any benefit for me to use this one. Snapfish allows me to create albums, share albums, make calendars............ Besides just to open my blog and create a new post at work takes about 3 minutes just to get to this page - too slow!

Link to my library thing

As you can see I finally managed to get my library thing list here - only took 5 attempts and I still have no idea how I managed to get it to work this time.

Library Thing

I have had a Library Thing account since May 2008 so this is nothing new. Now I will link it to my blog somehow

Word Clouds

These are so much fun to create and play with - also to view what other people are creating on del.icio.us... My word cloud will not open at work - only at home!

Another thought about all this stuff

Pop ups are blocked on my home PC so I can't actually do much from home. I have done this but can't say I understand what I have done - more good luck than anything else.

Week 2, even though we are now moving into week 4!

What I learnt from week 2 is that Web2 training and school holidays do not mix. We are now moving into week 4 and I have just started on week 2 - and at home at that. I managed to find out about RSS feeds in spite of all the instructions rather than because of them and did't enjoy the experience at all. As this is now non-work time I have too much else to do so the rest of week 2 (and 3) will just have to wait until I can find some spare time during my work day around all the stuff to do with patrons and providing a public library service to the community.

Setting up my blog

What great fun this was - I enjoyed selecting a colour scheme and what to include. I have decided to come back later and add some photos as well. I have learnt how you can change your text colour easily. Next I would like to add some photos to my blog - when I find some that are suitable of course.
